Background: One of the main phases of oxygen deficiency pathogenesis
is transfer of metabolism to energy inefficient anaerobic pathway followed
by dysfunction of oxidative phosphorilation resulting to limitation of energy
accumulation in ATP.
Therefore, we aimed to reveal whether the natural adaptogenic preparations
affect the resistance ability to oxygen deficiency in experimental animals.
Objective: Тo study the effects of hypoxia resistance ability of plant-derived
ingredients of the “Adapton-6”
Materials and methods: In the present study were used male and female
rats weighing 160-200 g. One hour ago before starting the experiment was
orally administered “Adapton 6” at the dose of 100 mg/kg during 7 consecutive
days. For the control group of rats were given distilled water. Oral administration
of eleutherococcus at the dose of 5.0 ml/kg was chosen as a standard drug.
Animal resistance to hypoxia, lifetime endurance of low-pressure were identified.
Haemohypoxia model was induced by intraperitoneal infusion of sodium nitrate at
the dose of 210 mg/kg.
Results: The study results show that the resistance to oxygen deficiency was
increased due to “Adapton 6” preparation by 25% for the experimental group
compared to the controls. According to the study results, “Adapton 6” preparation
had improved haemohypoxia resistance by 40% and resistance to hypercapnea by
55% compared to the control group.
Conclusion: The study results suggest that “Adapton 6” preparation had
increased carbon dioxide during acute toxicity and improved resistance ability
during tissue and haemohypoxia. Antihypoxia activity of “Adapton 6” preparation
was similar to Eleutherococcus.
