EEFECT OF TRADITIONAL TREATMENT ON CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASES

Абстракт
Many medicinal plants that compound Mongolian traditional drugs used to treat
chronic kidney diseases are known to have antibacterial properties. Areca catechu, one
of 7 compounds of traditional drug Goyu-7 which is used to treat kidney diseases
caused by wind and phlegm (chronic pyelonephritis) has been show to have
antibacterial effects. Mangifera indica is one of 10 compounds of traditional drug
Sugmel-10 and it contains mangiferin which is effective against gram negative bacteria.
Evaporative compounds of seed of Elletaria Cardomomum and its oil have antibacterial
and aflatoxin neutralizing effects respectively. Pabaceae astragalus of Sugmel-10
compound has been shown to have antibacterial and urine expelling effects.
A hundred and fifteen people who treated in Traditional medical cabinet of Govi-Altai
Medical School, Stationary of traditional Medicine, Gov-Altai Central hospital, and
Sanatory for elderly were enrolled to the study. We examined effect of some traditional
drugs including Goyu-7, Sugmel-10, Maru-3, Sojid, and Sema-3 on chronic
pyelonephritis. Acupuncture, cupping and massage are associated with the drugs when
there was back pain. Bloodletting was additionally applied for kidney contusion.
Treatment result was evaluated 15, 30, and 60 days after treatment by using traditional
methods of observation, palpation, and questioning as well as laboratory tests (blood
test, urinalysis) and echosonography.
After 30 days of treatment complaints were reduced by 62.6%, indexes of blood and
urine tests were improved by 95%, and changes that were observed by body
examination were reduced by 39%. These results suggest that traditional drugs which
have antibacterial properties are effective for treatment and prevention of chronic
recurrent pyelonephritis. Additional treatments with acupuncture and moxibustion,
cupping, massage and bloodletting can be potentially effective for treatment of back
pain caused by radiculopathy. Further, toxicity and side effects of long term use of
traditional drugs to treat kidney diseases should be investigated.
