Introduction: The qualitative and quantitative determination of the quality of Mongolian recipes is one of the important issues in Mongolian Traditional medicine.
Materials and methods: Ammonium Glycyrrhizinate in the Mongolian Medicine “Udval-6” have been determined by RP-HPLC method and Ammonium Glycyrrhizinate has been taken as a standard.
Results: The column was C18 (250*4.6mm), the flow phase was methanol-0.2mol/L ammonium acetate solution-glacial acetic acid (67:33:1) and the detection wavelength was 250nm. The linear ranges of Ammonium Glycyrrhizinate was 72.2~361μg, r=0.9998. The average recovery rate was 97.96% (RSD=0.69%).
Conclusion: The method was simple, accurate, reliable and reproducible. It provided a basis for quality control of the Mongolian medicine “Udval-6”.
