Абстракт
Background: Traditional medicine has always maintained its popularity worldwide. In
addition, over the last decade, we have seen an increasing use of medicine from natural
and traditional drug factory in many developed and developing countries. Therefore, there
is a need to study biological active substances in traditional medicine and change the forms
of traditional herbs.
Objective: The aim of our study was to prepare tablet from Mongolian traditional
prescription Gurgum-7.
Methods: The effect, of varying the proportion of binder starch paste, on the compaction
behavior of wet granulated Gurgum-7 formulations using a instrumented rotary tablet press,
was studied. Wet granulation formulation were prepared using compound Gurgum-7, starch
paste as binder liquid (equal to 2%,5%,10% starch) and talc as lubricant.
Results: The size of all tablet formulations was 9 mm and thickness ranged between
3.8 mm to 4.0 mm. The average weight of tablets ranged between 450.00 mg to 470.00
mg. Gurgum-7 tablets complied the hardness, disintegration time test of Mongolian national
pharmacopoeia 2011. In the present study, was found that 2% starch was suitable binder
liquid for Gurgum-7 tablets considering hardness and disintegration time.
Conclusion: The survey results showed that the tablet of Gurgum-7 formulation is
possible to introduce into manufacture for using it in clinical practice.
