PATIENT SATISFACTION WITH TRADITIONAL MEDICINE SERVICES AT TRADITIONAL MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY AND PRODUCTION CORPORATION, ULAANBAATAR MONGOLIA

Абстракт

Background: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted regarding patient
satisfaction with Traditional Medicine Services at Traditional Medical Service Technology
and Production Corporation, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia.
Methods: A structure questionnaire was disseminated to 101 patients during June 2013. The
respondents were aged 18 years and above. T-Test and descriptive analysis methods were
performed to analyze the association between independent and dependent variables.
Results: The results show that most of the patients (80.2% had high level of satisfaction with
the services of traditional medicine. Patients were highly satisfied with courtesy (85.7%),
quality of care (88.2%), physical environment (93.5%), convenience (88.7%), and behavior of
doctors and staffs (91.2%). Minority (19.8% of them had a low level of satisfaction with the
services of traditional medical services delivered. Selected variables such as traditional
medicine services, behaviour and capability of doctors and staffs, environment, location of
hospital, accessing and convenience were significantly associated with patients satisfaction
(p<0.001).
Discussion: It was found that patients who had a high education and patients aged 45 and
above was more likely to have a high level of satisfaction with Traditional Medicine services.
Hence, providing more information about traditional medicine services to low education and
young generation can help increase the level of patient satisfaction in traditional health care
system. Providing quick services to patients can add to their satisfaction.
Conclusion: Patients are found to be satisfied with traditional medicine services in Mongolia.
